The Wests Tigers have locked up another piece of their future, with Alex Twal extending his stay until the end of the 2024 season.
Twal, 25, was off-contract at the end of the upcoming campaign, having racked up 89 games as a middle forward in the black and orange.
The Lebanese international has been a solid presence in the team since he joined the club from Parramatta back in 2017, making his first grade debut that year.
He capped off an impressive rookie season with a call-up to the Cedars for the World Cup.

“I’m really happy to be staying at Wests Tigers,” Twal said.
“Wests Tigers feels like part of my DNA now. I’ve been there for five years and know we’re building something very special with the people we have at the club.
“I’m really focused on making the club successful and doing whatever I can to be a part of that. I know what success will mean to the Wests Tigers fans and everyone within the club and I’ll put everything into what I do to help us achieve that success.”
Coach Michael Maguire praised Twal’s work ethic and said that everyone around the club was delighted that he’d be sticking around.

“Alex is a true professional in the way that he approaches his game, and I’ve been impressed in the way that he has grown as a leader within our squad,” he said.
“He has continued to work hard at all aspects of his game and I’m looking forward to seeing him continue to develop further in the years to come.”
It’s been a good week for the Tigers forward pack’s prospects, with the club also signing Isaiah Papali’i from Parramatta a few days ago.
The future of halfback Luke Brooks, however, remains up in the air.
