Greg Inglis is set to pull on the boots again in 2022 – for bush league team Macksville.
Inglis’ glittering career looked certain to be over a few months ago when he was released by English club Warrington due to a nagging hamstring injury.

But the former Souths and Melbourne great, who turns 35 in January, is set to turn back the clock next season, returning to the town of his birth.
Inglis’ father is a former Macksville player and that is another reason the former Kangaroos star chose to play there.
The veteran centre/fullback will cross swords with fellow former Souths premiership winner Sam Burgess, who will coach Orara Valley in the Group 2 premiership.
The team is funded by movie legend Russell Crowe, part owner of Souths, who has a large property in the area.
