Hobart Hurricanes skipper Rachel Priest put her name in the history books today by notching her first WBBL century.
Priest, a former New Zealand White Fern, finished with an unbeaten 107 from just 68 deliveries.
The 36-year-old blasted 10 fours and seven sixes at a strike rate of 157.35, which proved to be the highest score ever made by a Hurricanes player in the WBBL.
It was also the fourth-highest score in the WBBL’s seven-year history.
Priest was awarded Player of the Match honours as Hobart defeated the Melbourne Stars by 63 runs.

“After the start [to the season] I had, I wasn’t that happy,” Priest said after the match.
“It was a crazy innings. I wasn’t expecting to get that many runs.
“I’ll certainly take it and it just came off for me today.”
Heading into the match with the Stars today, Priest had notched scores of 21 and 2 in Hobart’s opening two games.
