It might be the preseason but still this isn’t something any team wants to be attached to.
The Charlotte Hornets broke records for all the wrong reasons during their clash with the Dallas Mavericks at home, suffering the worst loss ever seen in the NBA.
The Hornets, owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan, were thrashed by 68 points in their final tune-up game against Luka Doncic and co. and the result could be cause for concern with their season opener against the Pacers just a week away.

The Mavericks were miles ahead by the middle of the second quarter and led by as much as 72 points early in the fourth quarter before taking the match 127-59. It was the biggest preseason win in history, per ESPN.
Conversely, the 68-point loss equals the biggest defeat ever seen in the NBA’s regular season — when Cleveland beat Miami 148-80 in 1991.
Dallas were led by Kristaps Porzingis with 20 points while six players scored in the double digits.
Luka Doncic appeared disinterested for large parts of the first half but managed to get to 10 points and eight assists with only one turnover.
