Australian tennis player John Millman was involved in an uncomfortable incident with American Jack Sock at the Indian Wells tournament today.
The world number 58 prevailed in three sets 7-5, 4-6, 6-3, but took issue with Sock’s conduct at the net post-match.

After the two shook hands, Millman appeared to take issue with something that he thought he heard. Sock replied, “I didn’t look at you, I smiled at you”.
To which Millman hit back: “You said…” before the conversation was again lost in the audio.
“No I didn’t,” Sock was then heard repeating, to which Millman replied: “Yeah you did, mate. And then you proceeded to tell me…[unintelligible]… but yeah, it’s my fault!”

Millman moves on to the round of 64 where he’ll face tenth seed Jannik Sinner.
Other Aussies involved in today’s proceedings didn’t fare as well; Aleksandar Vukic and Jordan Thompson lost in straight sets to Pablo Andujar and Kevin Anderson, respectively.
