The Bathurst 1000 has been moved again, and will now turn into a six-day motorsport extravaganza culminating with the iconic race on Sunday, December 5.
Having been originally scheduled in its usual October timeslot, the race was first moved to November due to the COVID-19 outbreak in New South Wales, but will now wrap up the Supercars season in December.
In doing so, the Bathurst 1000 will combine with the Australian Racing Group-run Bathurst International, creating a mega week of motorsport.

Joining Supercars at Mount Panorama will be a host of other categories: the Super2 Series, Porsche Carrera Cup Australia, TCR Australia, S5000, Touring Car Masters, GT World Challenge Australia, V8 SuperUtes, National Trans Am Series, and the Toyota Gazoo Racing 86 Series.
Supercars will release the remainder of the calendar in the coming weeks, but we already know the proposed Gold Coast and Phillip Island rounds have been cancelled.
“The events, over six days, will be something not seen before at the Mount and will be a great way to see racing return to Bathurst in 2021,” said Bathurst mayor Ian North.
“We look forward to being able to welcome the teams, drivers and fans back to Mount Panorama for what will be a festival of motorsport.”
Supercars boss Sean Seamer said the outcome is the best possible result in difficult circumstances.

“I would like to thank Mayor North, Rob Cameron at Repco and John McMellan at ARG for their collaboration over the past few weeks to put together what might be known as the best ever Repco Bathurst 1000.
“It’s been a tough year for motorsport fans but we’re confident this is the recipe for the best possible end to the 2021 season.”
Supercars and ARG will work with NSW health authorities to implement COVID-safe measures for competitors, staff and fans, with ticket details to be announced in the coming days.
